Overview

Guest Speaker: Allison Rippin-Armstrong, Vice-President Environment and Lands at Kaminak Gold Corporation
Bruce Sprague, National Mining Leader at EY

For mineral projects to be successful beyond the conclusion of project agreements and avert continuing project risk, companies are now considering steps to ensure that the preferential contractual arrangements they have made will actually work well on the ground and through the life of the project.  Industry is strategizing earlier rather than later in order to partner effectively with Aboriginal businesses. This presentation will cover some of the key legal and financial structuring considerations for such relationships.

The session will be chaired by Michelle Pockey from the Vancouver office and will include Industry panelists who will discuss their experiences – the successes and some of the challenges – to highlight practical considerations in developing and maintaining successful partnering arrangements.
