This session will review in detail the recently published ISO standard on outsourcing, ISO 37500, with a view to assessing its value as a tool for outsourcing practitioners,. The voluntary standard, to which Canada is a signatory, will be of particular interest to regulated industries such as financial services, and outsourcing buyers and providers with global operations in particular should attend this session. Dr. Ron Babin (Ryerson University), the Canadian delegate to the working group (TC259) that defined the ISO 37500 Standard, will assess the key implications of ISO37500 for buyers and providers of outsourcing services.
