On behalf of Fasken Martineau, the Fasken Martineau Pride Network invites you to our June celebration of pride with a focus on celebrating the members of our community who identify as transgender. A panel which includes a legal professional, community and program leaders, and active allies will provide insight and anecdotes on the current shape of human rights law, on best practices and issues in the employment context, on family and community alliances, and on gaining a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges for those who identity as transgender persons in our community. From workplace policy, to phraseology, to sharing knowledge on institutional and community resources, our panel will touch on some of today’s most pressing topics for those in the transgender and wider LGBT community, their families and friends, their allies, and their employers.

We warmly invite all, irrespective of experience with issues affecting the transgender community, to join us for this inclusive and informative discussion, and to stay with us afterwards for our reception as we celebrate pride and our shared diversity. Please share this invitation freely with your company’s diversity or LGBT committee/employee resource group, and any colleagues who may be interested in attending, whether they identify as members of the LGBT community, are LGBT allies, are human resources professionals or in community or corporate leadership, or otherwise! RSVP early as space is limited!
