Fasken Martineau’s Labour, Employment, Human Rights and Public Law group is pleased to invite you to a seminar on Samoisette, a landmark case that tempers the traditional power to amend a pension plan where a restructuring introduced a defined contribution component. Even though the plan promoter had provided employees with a two-year notice that their bridge benefits would terminate, the Superior Court allowed the class action by affected employees given the circumstances.
