Overview

Attracting, managing, and retaining top talent in a tough labour market is an issue that many organizations face today. Join us for an exclusive breakfast presentation, delivered by two leaders in their field, as they speak on the current workforce climate and how to successfully manage common employment law issues.

Christine Willow is a Partner with Chemistry Consulting Group and GT Hiring Solutions. She will discuss the serious lack of skilled talent available in the current Metro Vancouver workforce. She will offer advice on how employers can turn the tables and market themselves to potential hires in order to be the company of choice for candidates.

Matthew Larsen, a senior associate in Fasken’s Labour, Employment & Human Rights group, will discuss how employers can effectively manage the legal and practical questions they face in managing their workforce. This includes topics related to hiring, managing hours of work and performance, and dismissals.
