Fasken Martineau is pleased to invite you to a conference on Plan Nord and labour.

Plan Nord, one of our province's largest projects, has considerable potential for our economic development. One of the many challenges that businesses interested in this project will face, however, is labour-related. Outside business will not only need to develop and train local workers, they will have to integrate their own manpower into the local and Native communities.

This conference will take a look at the following topics:

  • Plan Nord – Recent Developments
    Jean Masson, Fasken Martineau

  • Employment: Problems and Challenges
    Louis Bernier, Fasken Martineau

  • The Human Age: A new era in which human potential itself will be the catalyst for change and the global driving force
    • Innovative workforce solutions: Landed resources program
Michel A. Bourque and Phillip J. Hatch, Experis ManpowerGroup
  • Coping with labour shortages
    • Intra-Provincial Mobility
    • Are Foreign Workers the Solution?
    • Work Permits, Labour Market Opinions and Exemptions
    • Labour Shortages: Simplified Process (Quebec Immigration February 2012)
    • Towards a Special Plan Nord Program?
      Isabelle Dongier, Fasken Martineau

Note: An application to have this activity recognized as meeting the mandatory continuing education requirements has been submitted to the Québec Bar.
