Overview

David Goldbloom, MD, is Senior Medical Advisor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto and former Chair of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. He is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is co-author of the bestselling book: How Can I Help? A Week in My Life as a Psychiatrist.

With an unexpected mix of humour and pop culture references, Dr. Goldbloom helps audiences understand the state of mental health today and provides insights into modern psychiatric care.

His presentation will include an overview of the reality and misconceptions regarding mental illnesses, their impact on people’s lives and workplaces, and strategies for improving recognition and support from families, friends and colleagues.
