The goal of the Mansfield Rule is to diversify law firm leadership.
Mansfield Rule 2.0 aims to ensure that at least 30 per cent of candidates for significant leadership roles in law firms include women, LGBTQ+ and visible minority lawyers. Fasken is Mansfield Rule 2.0 Certified.
The Mansfield Rule program stemmed from the 2016 Women in Law Hackathon, hosted by Diversity Labs in collaboration Stanford Law School and Bloomberg Law.
Fasken previously achieved Mansfield Rule 1.0 Certification and was the only largely Canadian-based firm among the original 30 pilot law firms to commit to the Mansfield Rule.
