Gabrielle Paris Gagnon is an associate within the Corporate/Commercial law group. Specializing in venture capital financing, she advises and represents mainly high growth startups with regard to funding rounds. Gabrielle supports startups with strong growth in all phases of their growth, whether they are companies in the seed phase or well-established technology companies.
Fascinated by issues at the intersection of law and emerging technologies, Gabrielle completed a Master’s in Comparative Law with a focus on civil liability and artificial intelligence applied in the stock market. Her experience and university studies help her understand the legal, strategic, and commercial issues that her clients may face.
Gabrielle is very involved in the Montreal startup community. She has been involved since 2017 with Technovation Montréal, an organization that teaches girls, ages 10 to 18, to code a mobile application and write a business plan. She is responsible for governance and legal affairs. Gabrielle was also a mentor for the 2019 cohort of the FounderFuel Accelerator.
Prior joining Fasken, Gabrielle practised with a multi-sectoral boutique firm providing services to startups and at a civil and commercial litigation firm.
