Giancarlo Mignardi is currently attending Queen’s University, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction. Giancarlo is the recipient of a number of awards and scholarships, including the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Prize in Torts. He is currently working as a Teaching Assistant for a Queen’s undergraduate law course, an Academic Tutor to first-year Queen’s Law students, and as a Research Assistant for Professor Grégoire Webber. During his undergrad, he also worked as a Credit Assistant at TD Canada Trust, and as a Research Assistant for the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. Giancarlo is a current member of the Equity and Diversity Committee and the Admissions Committee at Queen’s Law. He has also volunteered as a Student Caseworker for Queen’s Legal Aid, as an Editorial Volunteer for the Queen’s Law Journal and as a writer for Pro Bono Students Canada’s Queen’s Legal Aid Brochure project. During his undergrad, he was President, Treasurer and Language Coordinator for the Italian Undergraduate Students’ Cultural Association and an Academic Mentor through the Association of Political Science Students. Giancarlo is fluent in Italian and Spanish, has professional working proficiency in French and limited working proficiency in Portuguese and Catalan. He enjoys travel, television, soccer and collecting history books.

Giancarlo summered at the Firm in 2018 and was seconded to the Workplace and Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
