Hamid joined the Fasken team as an articling student in winter 2021 after completing a Bachelor of Laws at UQAM and successfully passing the evaluations of the École du Barreau du Québec’s professional training program. Before starting his Bachelor of Laws, Hamid accumulated 10 years of experience in science, engineering and research, and has a solid education in these fields. He has two Master’s degrees in engineering; one in chemical engineering from Université Laval and another in power engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He also completed a Bachelor’s degree in applied physics.
During his engineering studies and career, Hamid worked as an independent consultant and also worked at firms that manage Canadian nuclear power plant technologies for electrical power production. Most of his work involved designing new technologies and developing products and software for new nuclear reactors.
In addition to his engineering experience, Hamid worked as a law student at an intellectual property law firm.
