Overview

Iryna is a graduate of the JD, LLM, and PhD programs at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.

During her legal studies, she published multiple peer-reviewed articles in Canadian law journals, volunteered at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, worked as a Research Assistant to the Honourable Lynn Smith, QC, served as a Teaching Assistant for Commercial and Employment Law classes at the UBC Sauder School of Business, and taught various law courses at Simon Fraser University’s School of Criminology.

Prior to coming to Canada, Iryna practiced civil and commercial litigation with a law firm in Kyiv, Ukraine. In her spare time, Iryna enjoys painting, cooking, knitting, reading, and playing the piano.
