Jackie VanDerMeulen practices labour and employment law. She helps employers to create workplaces that are responsive to employer and worker needs.

Jackie regularly represents clients in labour and employment adjudication, such as labour arbitrations, federal and provincial labour board matters, employment litigation and applications for judicial review.  Jackie also provides advice on labour and employment strategy, including human rights and compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and acts as a neutral investigator to conduct workplace investigations. 

Jackie has represented clients before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Canada Industrial Relations Board, Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Divisional Court.

Jackie distinguished herself while studying at both McGill University and the University of Toronto and was awarded the prize for the highest standing in undergraduate economics. Jackie is a dedicated mentor for students in the LAWS program, which aims to support, guide and motivate high school students who face challenges in engaging successfully with school and accessing postsecondary education.
