John Grieve, QC is an internationally-recognized insolvency and restructuring lawyer, with a focus on advising major companies on complex commercial reorganizations. As the immediate past Chair of the Firm’s Global Insolvency and Restructuring group, (from 2007 to 2017), John has a wealth of experience in regional, national and international insolvencies and restructuring.
With his tremendous expertise acting as counsel for the debtor in reorganizations, John has a diverse range of major corporations as clients such as Tervita Corporation, Bear Mountain, Pope and Talbot, Adanac Molybdenum, 360 networks, St. Eugene's Mission, and Napier Environmental Technologies.
He also acts as counsel for a major creditor and as counsel for the receiver or monitor in numerous cases. John has recently been acting as representative counsel for some 3700 investors in CCAA of League Investments and acted for 2000 investors in the Avia West CCAA.
