Kathleen Butterfield (formerly Yoa) has a corporate commercial practice focused on financial institutions and services, infrastructure and public private partnerships. Advising both national and multinational entities, Kathleen frequently works with regulated and unregulated financial services providers, consortia, procuring authorities, railways and OEMS.
Kathleen takes the time to understand our client’s businesses, objectives, needs and pressures and provides them with practical, innovative and useful solutions. Her experience across a cross-section of specialties within the corporate commercial space give her a unique perspective to assisting clients as she has a wealth of knowledge and experience which allows her to provide out of the box solutions where needed. For example, Kathleen has the distinction in the infrastructure space of having acted on different transactions for each of the main parties in a P3 transaction, namely, acting on different projects for the consortium, the authority and lenders.
Kathleen advised on IJGlobal Americas “2016 North America Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year”. She was also named as a corporate lawyer to watch in the 2017 Lexpert Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross-Border Corporate Lawyers in Canada.
When not assisting clients with their corporate objectives, Kathleen can be found trying to keep up with her six year old and three year old on the ultimate field.
