Kayla attended law school at the University of Calgary where she worked with the university’s Business Venture Clinic, which fortified her interest in corporate law and strengthened her understanding of business law transactions. During this time, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, was involved with the Society of Law Students, and played for the Women’s Law Rugby Team. She was recently selected by the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking to attend the inaugural Silicon Valley Entrepreneurship Tour to increase her knowledge of the start-up industry.
Prior to law school, Kayla received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Throughout her undergrad, she was involved in a variety of research projects and social justice initiatives on- and off-campus.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys reading, hiking, and travelling whenever she gets the chance.
