Linda is a lawyer in Fasken’s Emerging Technologies group, with focus on data protection, and information security law. Linda works with a range of different clients, with a focus on high growth technology companies to organize their data protection strategy, intellectual property matters and commercial agreements. She regularly drafts and revises privacy policies, data management and information security policies, incident response plans. She works with clients to ensure that the deployment of their technologies is compliant with privacy and data protection legislation. Linda also drafts a range of online commercial agreements such as terms of use and service agreements.
Linda holds an LL.M. in Technology and the Law with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, where she focused on topics at the intersection of the data protection legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation and new technologies, notably artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
Before joining Fasken in 2017, Linda completed a B.C.L./LL.B at McGill, during which she gained experience through internships with Éducaloi and the Tribunal Administratif du Québec. She also participated in the Harold G. Fox moot on intellectual property and was involved in the McGill Journal of Law and Health and the university’s Legal Information Clinic.
