Marc James Tacheji is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group at the Montréal office. His practice focuses on civil and contractual litigation involving most notably commercial leasing, co-ownership disputes, latent defects, product liability and consumer protection law.
Marc James advises owners and commercial tenants on issues related to contractual obligations, taxation, zoning, servitudes or neighbourhood disturbances. He also has experience in latent defects and decontamination.
Marc James mentors students interested in litigation and also works with the Montréal recruitment committee. Along with his colleague, Michael Shortt, he coaches the McGill University law faculty team competing in the Pierre-Basile Mignault Moot Court Competition.
Marc James is a director on the board of the Young Bar of Montreal, where he chairs the Professional and International Development Committee and organizes the Oratory Competition. He is also the secretary for Hay Doun, a not-for-profit organization that sponsors Armenian-Syrian and Armenian-Iraqi refugees, and supports seniors from Montréal’s Armenian community. Marc James is also a member of the Canadian-Armenian Business Council.
