Marie-Eve Sévigny joined the Fasken team in the summer of 2019 after completing her law degree at Université Laval. She will start bar school at the École du Barreau in the fall of 2019.
Marie-Eve has several converging interests which, combined with a particular fascination for the law, inspired her to study the law. Curious and open to the world, Marie-Eve participated in Université Laval’s international mobility program. While a student, she spent a semester studying at the University of Essex in England, where she improved her knowledge of both English and the common law, which helped her to develop her considerable adaptability. During her studies, Marie-Eve was also introduced to immigration law and as a student, participated in a recruitment mission to Asia.
Marie-Eve is committed and balanced her studies with social and community activities while a student. She is very involved in the Québec City business community and served as ambassador for the Québec Winter Carnival during a trade mission to Paris. She applied her leadership skills, initiative and collaborative approach to her position as a local development agent for a commercial artery in Québec City.
