Mariko Rivers has a diverse corporate commercial practice, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisition, corporate finance and securities.
Mariko regularly advises issuers and underwriters in connection with prospectus offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions.
A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law school, Mariko volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Osgoode Women’s Network. She was also a Dean’s Tutor for JD students and a Peer Support Tutor for LLM students. Mariko also participated in an Exchange Program in Mediation at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. At Osgoode, she was the recipient of the Dominic Carinci Memorial Prize, the Carl Orbach Q.C. Prize, the Justice M.M. Van Camp Prize and graduated in the top 8% of her class.
After summering with the firm, Mariko was seconded to Bell Media Inc.
