Martin R. Gagné specializes in corporate, commercial and real estate law as well as corporate and project financing. A large part of his practice is devoted to mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures and reorganizations. He represents clients operating in various industries such as natural resources, specifically the mining, forestry, oil and gas sectors.

Martin actively participates in negotiating and drafting multiple types of contracts and other legal documents required for business, commercial, real estate and financing transactions.

He combines his expertise in both contracts and Indigenous peoples and their entities, and intervenes during various phases of mining exploration and development projects in Quebec and abroad.

Martin has vast experience in property titles, including the rights, permits and contracts granted by government authorities specific to mining and other natural resources activities.

Many religious communities, their works and activities, in addition to other not-for-profit organizations and charities count on Martin’s advice regarding their structure and business, commercial, real estate and transactional needs.
