Martin Owusu completed his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration at Dalhousie University. Prior to law school, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia where he was on the Dean’s List. Martin is the recipient of a number of awards and scholarships, including the Schulich Scholarship and the Trek Excellence Scholarship. At Dalhousie, Martin was a teaching assistant in the Bachelor of Commerce program and the Editorial Chair of the Dalhousie Journal of Interdisciplinary Management. During the summer of 2017, Martin was a member of the Brand, Sponsorships and Advertising team at BMO Financial Group. He also worked as a Contributor for Retail Insider and was a Research Associate for Africakilowatt, where he conducted research on the risk and capital structure of several P3 energy infrastructure projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. He currently serves on the board of the Kupaa Foundation, a non-profit aimed at developing youth in Tanzania through sport. Martin enjoys music, philosophy and sports.

Martin summered at the Firm in 2018 and was seconded to Fasken’s Vancouver office.
