Mathilde Romano joined the Fasken team as a student in 2019 after completing her second year of law school at the Université de Montréal.
During her law studies, Mathilde distinguished herself through her involvement in the university community. She was selected to participate in a business law competition and to represent the Université de Montréal at the Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Rights Legal Moot in Halifax. She was Treasurer and then President of the Égaliser/Level Committee, which works for the advancement of human rights, and also served as secretary of the Comité Droit Autochtone (indigenous rights committee).
While in the final year of her Bachelor of Laws program, Mathilde also completed a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law. In the summer of 2020, she assisted the Department of Legal Affairs and Human Capital at La Presse.
Mathilde also holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from the Université de Montréal.
