Matthew Stanton is currently attending Osgoode Hall Law School, where he received the Honourable Ronald E. Sobier Entrance Award. At Osgoode, Matthew competed in the Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark Labour Arbitration Moot, and volunteered as a Caseworker for Osgoode’s Community & Legal Aid Services Programme. He also mentored high school students through the Law in Action Within Schools initiative. Prior to law school, he obtained a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, which included a semester-exchange to Lund University in Sweden. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminology at Western University, graduating with distinction. At Western, Matthew was a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Political Science, and volunteered as a KidCoach for Future Possibilities for Kids. He also spent a week volunteering in clinics across Costa Rica, helping local doctors provide free medical services to refugees. During the summer of 2017 Matthew worked at Fasken, completing an internship with the Labour and Employment Law Group. His prior work experience includes working as an English Teacher in South Korea, as a Legislative Intern through the Ontario Legislature Internship Programme, and as a Program Analyst at the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. Matthew continues to work as a Server at Vineland Estates Winery, is a film enthusiast, and enjoys political satire, reading novels, playing basketball, and travelling.

Matthew summered at the Firm in 2018 and was seconded to the Toronto International Film Festival.
