Michaël Corriveau has been a paralegal since 2011 and specializes in different business law transactions. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2015 and joined Fasken’s Business Law team in Montréal in 2017.
Michaël works with lawyers to draft documents related to different corporate transactions, including fiscal and commercial reorganizations. His duties include preparing, on behalf of clients and firm lawyers, preclosing and closing documents, including closing agendas, resolutions, contracts, share-capital and documents related to incorporations, organizations, mergers, acquisitions, rollovers, articles of amendments, continuances, amalgamations, reorganizations, dissolutions, estate freezes, revivals, extra-provincial registrations and other share-related transactions.
He reviews minute books, conducts due diligence corporate searches in the different public registers, prepares reports summarizing the results and organizes corporate board meetings.
