Michael first attended law school at Peter A. Allard School of Law, before going on to complete his law degree at the University of Victoria. During his time at the University of Victoria, Michael competed in the Gale Cup Constitutional criminal law mooting competition, where he received high praise for his advocacy skills.
Before joining Fasken, Michael worked a summer with the BC Ministry of the Attorney General on a constitutional challenge to BC’s Medicare Protection Act. Prior to law school, Michael completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (with distinction), which heavily focussed on studying the complex relationship between the environment and modern industry. Michael also worked as a teacher’s assistant in the university’s human anatomy lab, where he taught human anatomy to first year kinesiology students.
In his spare time Mike enjoys golfing, squash, hockey, and spending time with his family.
