Fasken Martineau announced today that it will hold the fourth edition of its Toronto Symposium.

Toronto (Canada) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that it will hold the fourth edition of its Toronto Symposium on June 5, 2014 at the Bay Adelaide Centre in downtown Toronto.

"Fasken Martineau is hosting the Toronto Symposiun for the fourth consecutive year and we are proud to share our expertise with the Toronto legal community. Last year's event was a full house and we expect it to sell out again this year. The response we have received so far from participating in-house counsel shows just how important Fasken Martineau's Symposium is, and we are pleased to see that it has become a fixture in the legal community," said Martin Denyes, Fasken Martineau's Managing Partner for Ontario.

Fasken Martineau's Symposium provides lawyers with educational seminars for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). By attending this complimentary half-day event, legal professionals are eligible to receive up to three hours of education that can be applied towards the Law Society of Upper Canada's CPD requirements. The seminars will touch on legal issues such as:

  • Ontario's Amended Rules of Professional Conduct
  • What Directors and Officers Need to Know About White Collar Crime
  • Privilege Issues for In-house Counsel: Top 10 Issues and the Current State of the Law

This event will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Bay Adelaide Centre, 333 Bay Street, Suite 2400 in Toronto.
