Fasken Martineau announced today that Dr. Sam Samaratunga has joined the London office as a Partner in the Life Sciences Group.

London (UK) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that Dr. Sam Samaratunga has joined the London office as a Partner in the Life Sciences Group.

Sam Samaratunga is a dual qualified lawyer and medical doctor. Prior to pursuing his career in law, Sam qualified as a doctor and then as a General Practitioner and was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK.

Sam's practice focuses on the pharmaceutical, healthcare and life sciences sectors, mainly in the areas of regulatory law, product liability litigation, public and administrative law and nanotechnology. He has extensive experience working at the interface between science and law and has an interest in sports law, specifically on matters relating to doping in the sports industry.
