Toronto (Canada) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, is pleased to announce that Av Maharaj has been appointed General Counsel to the newly amalgamated operations of Kraft Heinz Canada. Mr. Maharaj will assume his new post effective March 1, 2016.
After a ten year hiatus, Av Maharaj returned to Fasken Martineau as Counsel where he has been engaged in a variety of client development and transaction management matters. Prior to returning to Fasken Martineau, Av held senior positions at the Kellogg Company. In January 2004 he joined Kellogg Canada as Chief Counsel & Corporate Secretary, serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, setting a strategic direction for the organization and overseeing the company’s operations.
