“Un accord pour faciliter les démarches juridiques des Français du Québec” Thibault Girardet, L’Express

L’Express quotes Sonia Rainville in an article about issues related to the recent cooperation agreement signed between the Conseil supérieur du notariat français and the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

[Translation] Sonia Rainville, notary and partner with Fasken Martineau in Montréal, explains the issues for French nationals in the Belle Province. This agreement will facilitate and accelerate legal steps for French nationals residing in Quebec. It will relieve the consulates, currently responsible for notarized powers of attorney applicable in France. It will improve cooperation and mutual confidence between notaries in France and in Quebec. New tools will be implemented to facilitate exchanges and enhance understanding of the law on both sides of the Atlantic.
