“Obama pourrait tenir un discours rassembleur à Ottawa” by Guillaume St-PIerre, TVA Nouvelles

TVA Nouvelles quotes Montréal lawyer Raymond Chrétien in an article on Barack Obama’s visit to Ottawa.

Faced with the isolationist wind blowing from the south, Canada must rise to the challenge of protecting its rights, “which could be threatened,” according to Raymond Chrétien, former Canadian Ambassador to Washington, today a partner and strategic adviser with the firm of Fasken Martineau.

“It’s very good for Canadian tourism,” stated Mr. Chrétien, who was also Ambassador to Mexico during the 1980s.

“It will certainly be a speech that will be carefully followed south of the border,” he noted.
