“Bell’s Wholesale Code appeal, conditions of licence ask face stiff opposition” The Wire Report

The Wire Report quote Montréal lawyers Christian Leblanc and Michael Shortt in an article about Bell’s Wholesale Code appeal.

A factum authored by Christian Leblanc and Michael Shortt was quoted extensively by The Wire Report. The factum was submitted on behalf of a coalition of broadcasters who are opposing Bell Canada’s attack on the CRTC’s Wholesale Code. The Wholesale Code is the CRTC’s comprehensive regulatory regime for the wholesale market for television programming in Canada. Bell is currently arguing that the Wholesale Code went beyond the CRTC’s jurisdiction. The case is pending before the Federal Court of Appeal, with a hearing expected sometime in early 2017.
