“Guy Giorno's gift-giving guide for government folk” by Beatrice Britneff, iPolitics

ipolitics.ca quotes Toronto and Ottawa lawyer Guy Giorno in an article about gift giving for government employees.

As members of Parliament continue to butt heads over the Liberal party’s cash-for-access fundraising events — and as we head into the holiday season — lobbying law expert Guy Giorno has published a friendly little reminder about the strict rules governing invitations and gifts to public officials … in verse.

Giorno, former chief of staff to Stephen Harper, wrote the poem as a seasonal reminder to companies and organizations who deal with government that sending a present to an official — at any level of government — “can land the recipient, the giver, or both, in trouble.”
