“Rencontre de travail sur le bois d’œuvre résineux” by Alexandre D’Astous, le Journal l’Avantage.

Le Journal l’Avantage mentions Montréal lawyer Raymond Chrétien in an article on the working meeting between members of the comité sur la forêt de l’Union des municipalités du Québec on softwood lumber.

Elected officials in attendance informed Mr. Chrétien, who also served as Canadian ambassador to the US from 1994 to 2000, about the negative impact of a new softwood lumber trade dispute for the economy of the forest regions and Quebec as a whole. For the UMQ, the federal government must consider the specificity of Quebec’s forest regime in its discussions with its American partners.
