“Google accuse le Canada de vouloir le censurer” by Philippe Orfali, Le Journal de Montréal

Le Journal de Montréal quotes Montréal Lawyer, Antoine Guilmain, in an article on Google and freedom of expression.

But Antoine Guilmain believes that Google should be careful, because its image could suffer.

“Beyond the reality of justice, there’s reputation. Google is unwillingly involved in online counterfeit products” explains the member of Fasken Martineau’s Privacy and Information Protection group.

He adds, however, that in its judgment on search results, the Supreme Court of Canada appears to have “paid scant attention” to the consequences on freedom of expression.
