“What are Canada’s goals during NAFTA negotiations?” by Lauren Gilger, KJZZ.org.

KJZZ.org interviews Toronto/Ottawa lawyer, Clifford Sosnow, in a segment on NAFTA negotiations.

Representatives from the U.S., Canada and Mexico headed into last week’s NAFTA negotiations each with a wish list of priorities for their respective countries.

We’ve heard a lot about the debate between the U.S. and Mexico over NAFTA’s effects in the news, but Canada also has its own goals.

Our neighbors to the north want tougher labor standards, the free movement of professionals and new environmental standards aimed at combating climate change.

For more on this, I got a hold of Clifford Sosnow, an international trade law attorney and partner with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin in Toronto.
