Fasken Cheering Greatness in Action at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games

Reading Time 2 minute read

Toronto (Canada) – Fasken is honoured to support the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. This partnership is part of the Firm’s commitment to invest in communities across Canada by participating in charitable activities, serving on boards and committees, and fundraising for charities.

The PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games will hold its Opening Ceremony on Friday, March 9, where our Montreal Partner and the President of the CPC Board of Directors, Marc-André Fabien, Ad.E., will be cheering on our athletes. These exceptional competitors exemplify true greatness, and as such we are encouraging everyone to support them on social media with the hashtag #CheeringGreatness.

The Opening Ceremony will also kick off Fasken’s regional fundraising activities held across all our Canadian offices. Fasken feels strongly about supporting an organization that values excellence, diversity and inclusion. So throughout the year the Firm provides pro bono legal services for the CPC. We also work with them to advance the Paralympic movement by encouraging young people to get involved as athletes or volunteers, by creating welcoming environments for people with a disability and by working to develop a sustainable Paralympic system across Canada.

The PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games is scheduled to last through to Sunday, March 18, 2018. Best of luck to all the athletes!
