Fasken Martineau announces that one of its partners, Bernard Synnott, has received the Lawyer Emeritus distinction from the Québec Bar.

Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, is pleased to announce that Bernard Synnott, a partner at the Montréal office and outgoing president of the Québec Bar, was awarded the honorific title of Lawyer Emeritus.

The Québec Bar presents this award to its more deserving members in recognition of their outstanding professional careers, outstanding contribution to the profession or outstanding social and community standing that has brought honour to the legal profession. Recipients may use the initials “Ad.E.”, drawn from the Latin “Advocatus Emeritus”, after their name. This distinction will be awarded during an official ceremony that will be held this October in Montréal.

“I would like to congratulate Bernard Synnott for this award, which reflects credit on the entire firm,” said Eric Bédard, Fasken Martineau’s managing partner for the Québec region.
