Nomonde Mbanjwa is an associate in the Labour and Employment Practice Group.
She has experience in drafting pleadings for the CCMA, bargaining councils, Labour Court and High Court litigation (applications for interdicts, condonation, review and rescission).
She has acted in several matters and for various clients in various industries, in both the public and private sector, including but not limited to mining, petroleum, retail, fast moving consumer goods, hospitality, banking, media, telecommunications and gaming sectors.
Nomonde’s experience includes advising clients on various employment law matters that affect the workplace and business at large such as employment equity, unfair discrimination, basic conditions of employment, disciplinary proceedings and dismissal disputes, incapacity inquiries and disputes, collective bargaining, strike and lockout management and advice regarding compliance with various pieces of legislation.
She has experience in drafting various agreements including employment contracts, restraint of trade agreements, settlement agreements, retrenchment agreements, collective bargaining and recognition agreements.
She possesses litigation and drafting experience of various pleadings and submissions in various tribunals including the CCMA, various bargaining councils, Labour Court, High Court, Labour Appeal Court and the Constitutional Court.
Nomonde’s experience in analysing matters / disputes, providing legal advice regarding the prospects of success and merits of the dispute. As well as conducting legal research and providing legal opinions. She has experience in managing matters and cases, providing guidance to Candidate Attorneys / Candidate Legal Practitioners and interacting with clients.
