Rachel Devon practices in the areas of labour, employment, and human rights law. She is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded the J.S.D. Tory Research and Writing Award, the Art and Science of Advocacy Prize, and the Harold J. Rubenstein Prize in Civil Liberties.
While studying at Osgoode, Rachel placed first in the Arnup Cup, an annual trial advocacy competition for Ontario law schools. Rachel also represented Ontario at the Sopinka Cup, Canada’s national trial advocacy competition, where she placed third overall and was awarded best cross-examination. During law school, Rachel served as Senior Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and as Co-Chair of the Journal’s Recruitment, Selection, and Orientation Committee. Prior to law school, Rachel obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
Rachel summered at the Firm in 2016 and was seconded to Hudson’s Bay Company. She articled with the Firm in 2017-2018 before joining as an Associate.
Rachel regularly volunteers at Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline. Outside of her practice, Rachel enjoys musical theatre and long-distance running.
