Ryan Kleinman maintains a broad corporate/commercial and securities law practice. Ryan has been involved in a wide range of transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings securities regulations and corporate governance.
Ryan is a graduate of the combined J.D./M.B.A. program at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management. Ryan was on the Dean’s List and received the Andrew Alexander Kinghorn Fellowship for finishing in the top 10% of the first year MBA class. Ryan also received a Rotman School of Management entrance scholarship. While studying for his J.D./M.B.A., Ryan acted as an Assistant Editor for the Corporate Law Cell of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law Review. Ryan also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Queen’s University where he was also on the Dean’s List and graduated with High Distinction.
Ryan summered at Fasken in 2017 and was seconded to Rogers Sportsnet. He then articled with the firm and joined as an associate in 2019.
Prior to working with the firm, Ryan has worked as an Analyst at the Bank of Nova Scotia, a Summer Student for Gowling WLG in Moscow, Russia, and a Legal Intern for Macdonald Sager Manis LLP. As a Summer Student at Gowling WLG in Moscow, Ryan co-authored a paper entitled “The Universe of Pharmaceutical Trademarks in Russia”.
Outside of the law, Ryan enjoys travelling, football, playing music (guitar), photography and reading.
