Sara Couture is a lawyer within the Corporate/Commercial group at our Montréal office.
As part of her practice, she advises clients on their various complex commercial issues. More specifically, Sara has a strong interest in data protection and privacy.
Sara obtained a bachelor’s degree in international studies and modern languages from Université Laval as well as a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal.
Moreover, she won the Law Without Walls contest, an international competition that combines social justice, entrepreneurship and technology. Her team won the contest for a prototype application that they developed in four months in collaboration with three other students residing in different countries.
In parallel to her career in law, Sara is an entrepreneur and she founded the company Tokusen Imports, which specializes in the import of high-quality Japanese artisan products.
Throughout her studies, she spent two years teaching in Japan as part of the exchange and teaching program where she was introduced to the Japanese tea ceremony. Since her return to Canada, she has been involved in the Japanese cultural community.
Before joining Fasken, she worked as a lawyer within the business law team of a regional law firm.
