Shawn Foster joined the Fasken team as a student in 2021, while completing his third year of law school at Université Laval.
During his studies, Shawn has distinguished himself through his community service work on access to justice, an issue he is passionate about. He has worked as an information agent at the Université Laval Legal Information Office; served as Vice-President, Events, of the Pro Bono committee; and volunteered for many different organizations. In addition to providing him with real-world professional experience, his work received special recognition from his university’s Vice-Rector, Academic and International Affairs.
Concurrently with his academic career, Shawn has authored four books. He has had articles on law and philosophy published in his faculty’s student journal and on other platforms. His literary experience has also afforded him the opportunity to give talks at the Salon du Livre de Montréal.
In his free time, Shawn enjoys cooking, wine and literature.
He will continue his professional training at the École du Barreau in winter 2022.
