On April 11, 2006, Kerry Group plc, the global ingredients, flavours and consumer foods group, announced the US$83 million acquisition of two North American food ingredients businesses - Custom Industries and Nuvex Ingredients. Custom Industries is a leading manufacturer of particulates for bakery and ready-to-eat cereal applications and confectionery ingredients for sweet goods. Nuvex Ingredients specializes in customized high-protein and fibre nutritional lines.
Kerry Group was advised in its acquisition of Custom Industries by a team from Fasken Martineau led by Gary Fogler and including Ralph Nero, Daniel Law, Tyrone Medley and Danielle Hough.
