On May 24, 2007, GB Merchant Partners purchased a majority stake in Grafton-Fraser Inc., one of Canada's oldest and largest menswear retailers which operates a number of menswear chains in Canada including Tip Top Tailors, George Richards Big & Tall Menswear, Mr. Big & Tall Menswear, Kingsport and Stonehouse.
Fasken Martineau advised the seller in this transaction with a team comprised of David Salomon (mergers & acquisitions), Koker Christensen (corporate), Ralph Nero (labour and employment) and Mitchell Thaw (tax).
