On February 29, 2008, Agropur Cooperative, Canada's largest dairy cooperative with annual sales of $2.45 billion, acquired Trega Foods Inc., a Wisconsin cheese producer. It was Agropur's second acquisition in the United States since 2002, and allows the organization to reinforce its position on the North American and international dairy scene.
Agropur was advised on the financing necessary for this acquisition by a team from Fasken Martineau that included Marc Novello and Alain Ranger.
