Agence Française de Développement finances a €50 million sovereign concessional loan for the financing of a hydropower plant

Agence Française de Développement (AFD) financed a €50 million sovereign concessional Loan to the Government of Pakistan for the financing of the rehabilitation of a hydropower plant. The 22MW powerplant located in the khyber pakhtunkhwa (KPK) district of Pakistan had been destroyed by the 2005 earthquake. The sovereign loan was on-lent to the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of Pakistan, in charge of the rehabilitation of the plant.
