On March 30, 2009, Capital Desjardins inc., a subsidiary of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, completed a $500 million public offering of 5.756% Series E Senior Notes due April 1, 2019 (the Series E Senior Notes). The Series E Senior Notes were offered by a syndicate of dealers led by Desjardins Securities Inc. and including BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., Casgrain & Company Limited, HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. and Laurentian Bank Securities Inc. Capital Desjardins was represented in-house by a team from the Desjardins Group composed of Guy Dallaire, Manager, Corporate Affairs, Jean-Marc Derrien, Legal Counsel and Patrick Nadeau, Senior Advisor – Executive Department Finance and Capital Management; and assisted by Peter Villani and Christian Jacques of Fasken Martineau.
