On November 18, 2009, Jovian Capital Corporation ("Jovian") (JOV: TSX) and its subsidiary AlphaPro Management Inc. ("AlphaPro") announced the launch of the Horizons AlphaPro Seasonal Rotation ETF (the "ETF"). The ETF began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on November 20, 2009, under the symbol HAC. The ETF seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation in all market cycles by tactically allocating its exposure amongst equities, fixed income, commodities and currencies during periods that have historically demonstrated seasonal trends. AlphaPro is the manager and trustee of the ETF and its affiliate JovInvestment is the investment manager of the ETF, responsible for portfolio management. Fasken Martineau acted for AlphaPro with respect to the establishment and launch of the ETF with a team that included Garth Foster, Munier Saloojee and Louise Kennedy (investment/securities) and Mitchell Thaw (tax).
