On January 26, 2010, Groupe Aeroplan Inc. announced the successful closing of the previously announced public offering of $200 million aggregate principal amount of 6.95% Senior Secured Notes Series 3 maturing on January 26, 2017 (the "Notes"). The proceeds of the offering in the amount of $200 million will be used by the corporation to repay a portion of the amount outstanding under its term credit facility. The offering of the Notes was made through an underwriting syndicate led by CIBC, RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and TD Securities Inc. The underwriters were advised in this transaction by Fasken Martineau with a team comprised of Peter Villani, Catherine Isabelle and Jean-François Séguin (securities); Marc Novello and Martin Racicot (banking); and Gilles Carli (tax).
